The importance of comfort during breastfeeding
Comfort and the well‑being of the mother during breastfeeding are not merely secondary aspects, but central elements to favour a positive and calm relationship with her baby. Recent research carried out by Sfera MediaGroup for Inglesina highlighted how much these issues are felt and current among Italian and Spanish mothers.
The survey, conducted on a sample of 2,259 mothers with children aged 0 to 18 months in Italy and Spain, revealed significant data: 80% of women interviewed reported physical problems related to posture and comfort during breastfeeding. Even more striking is the fact that one mother in four considered the possibility of stopping breastfeeding precisely because of pain or physical discomfort.
These results underscore the urgency of designing solutions that take into account the real needs of mothers, supporting them concretely in their journey.
