Baby Wellness
Our commitment

A newborn baby. Life beginning. The first journey home, the first walks, the first incredible milestones.

Accompanying these moments is the highest purpose of our work at Inglesina and gives profound meaning to the responsibility entrusted to us.

For this reason we are committed every day to creating products and solutions that guarantee children extraordinary well-being during their journey of discovery of the world.

Our 7 principles

In collaboration with Baby Wellness Foundation

A culture oriented towards well-being means fostering a state of physical and psychological harmony for every child.

Together with Baby Wellness Foundation we support and promote this culture in everything we do.

Through in-depth studies and research carried out in collaboration with experts in the field, seven core principles have been identified that encompass all the fundamental aspects for the healthy development and overall well-being of the child.

His well being begins long before birth
A healthy lifestyle and a calm pregnancy, supported by a positive relational environment, are the foundations for ensuring the best possible starting conditions and greater opportunities for a child's well being.
The best nourishment from the very beginning
Breast milk is not only an irreplaceable biological element, but also a powerful way to strengthen a unique bond with the mother, helping the child grow with confidence and trust in their own abilities (empowerment).
A good night’s sleep
Day after day, the newborn grows and gradually gains control of their body, becomes stronger, builds immune defences, learns to manage emotions, recognise the voices of loved ones and communicate with them.
Health, the most precious asset
A child's present and future health is strongly influenced by lifestyle and by the choices made before and during pregnancy, as well as during the first years of life.
Care and loving attention
Caring for a baby also means surrounding them with attention, cuddles and hugs, and responding to their needs with awareness. A baby does not have "tantrums", only needs.
The harmonious development of the child
By adopting behaviours and habits that support a child's motor, emotional and social progress, mothers and fathers, along with everyone who cares for the child, play a decisive role in fostering happy growth.
Choosing early childhood products correctly
When leaving the maternity facility, just a few days after birth, the newborn will face their very first journey. The family's return home is a moment of great emotion, long imagined and often carefully prepared, even though it is sometimes experienced with anxiety and concern.

Baby Wellness Foundation

Born from the initiative of L’Inglesina Baby Spa, the foundation brings together various professionals connected to the world of early childhood. Midwives, doctors, sector experts, all passionate about children. Through study and technical-scientific research, we deepen understanding of children's needs with particular attention to the first months of life in order to disseminate them to as wide an audience as possible: the professional community, early years practitioners, new parents.

Baby Wellness Tips

The Great Carrycot

In the first months of life the newborn's bone and muscle structure is still fragile. The supine lying position prevents overloading any part of the body, distributing the weight evenly. Experts recommend extending the use of the pram until at least 6 months.

Welcome Pad®

At birth the baby leaves the safety of the mother's womb to face the outside world, moving from a cosy, contained space to a vast and overwhelming one. To support them in this transition it is important to make them feel protected and contained, offering an environment that can hold them both physically and emotionally.

Stand Up

Sleep is crucial for activating physiological processes and mechanisms essential for the child's growth and harmonious development. That is why it is important to ensure the best possible conditions to facilitate healthy rest and uninterrupted sleep.

Darwin Infant Recline

The newborn's respiratory system is immature and their breathing is diaphragmatic. The lying position facilitates breathing and reduces the load of the head's weight on the neck muscles.

icon thermoregulation
All Season Seat

In the first months the baby is not yet able to make full use of the thermoregulation centres, that is, they are not yet able to regulate their own temperature in response to environments that are too cold or too hot. In particular, high temperatures combined with high humidity levels are the conditions that cause the greatest distress for the baby.

Head hugger and headrest in bamboo

Natural fibres such as cotton and bamboo provide good breathability and facilitate the evaporation of moisture that forms in the areas of greatest perspiration.

Welcome Pod™

At birth the baby leaves the safety of the mother's womb to face the outside world, moving from a cosy, contained space to a vast and unknown one. To help them in this transition it is important to offer environments that can hold them both physically and emotionally.
