Accessibility

Inglesina is actively committed to making its inglesina.com website, in its e-commerce version for the Italian, French, and Spanish markets, accessible in compliance with European and national regulations, with the aim of ensuring a simple and inclusive browsing experience for all users.

Service description

The e-commerce service available on inglesina.com allows users to:

  • browse the product catalog and related product pages;
  • search for and filter products;
  • add products to the cart and complete the purchase (checkout);
  • manage accounts, addresses, orders, and preferences (where available);
  • access information on shipping, returns, and customer support.

How the service works (user information)

Browsing and product search

  • Users can browse by categories and use the search function.
  • Filters allow results to be refined (e.g. price, availability, and other attributes, where applicable).

Product page

  • Each product page provides key information (title, price, availability, variants, description, images).
  • Users can select any available variants and add the product to the cart.

Cart and checkout

  • In the cart, users can modify quantities, remove products, and proceed to checkout.
  • The checkout guides users through entering the required information (shipping, billing, payment) and confirming the order.
    Note: some parts of the checkout may be provided via third-party platforms (e.g. Shopify) and may have limitations on direct intervention.

Personal area

  • Users can view their order history and manage their data and preferences.

Accessibility standards and requirements

The assessment was carried out through an accessibility audit, conducted with reference to:

  • EN 301 549 (accessibility requirements for ICT products and services), in its applicable version;
  • WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) version 2.1, level AA.

Evaluation method: external audit conducted on a sample of pages and components (catalog, product pages, cart, checkout, contacts, cookie banner, and informational sections), including manual testing using keyboard navigation and assistive technologies, as well as automated checks.

Compliance status

Based on the checks carried out, the current status of the service is:

Partially compliant

Note: the main functionalities of the service (browsing, viewing product pages, cart, and initiating checkout) are generally usable, but some limitations have been identified, as outlined below.

Content and features not fully accessible

Despite ongoing efforts, some parts of the service may not be fully accessible. The currently known limitations are outlined below.

  • Missing descriptions for some visual content. On certain pages, some images, icons, or graphical elements may lack adequate descriptions. This may make the meaning or function of certain content less clear for users relying on assistive technologies.
  • Informational videos not fully accessible. Some videos providing instructions or information may not always include equivalent text alternatives and, where necessary, may lack audio descriptions. This may limit access to content for people with visual or hearing impairments.
  • Information conveyed primarily through visual means. In some cases, information or states (such as selections, highlights, or messages) may be communicated mainly through visual elements like color or graphical indicators. This may create difficulties for users who cannot perceive these elements correctly or who rely on assistive technologies.
  • Readability and use with zoom. In some sections, the contrast between text and background may not always be sufficient. In addition, at higher zoom levels, some areas — particularly on the product page — may become more difficult to read or use.
  • Keyboard navigation and page orientation. In some cases, when navigating the page using the keyboard or using links that lead to specific sections, the position of the active element may not be updated consistently or may not always be clearly visible. This can make it harder to understand where the user is within the page during navigation.
  • Links and forms: clarity and completion. On some pages, links may have generic or similar text, making it less immediate to distinguish their destinations. Additionally, some form fields may not be fully optimized to facilitate completion and autofill, especially on mobile devices.

Measures adopted to support accessibility (process and monitoring)

To maintain and improve the accessibility of the service, we adopt, where applicable, the following measures:

  • accessibility requirements integrated into the development and release cycle;
  • verification of key components and main user flows (catalog, product page, cart, checkout, informational and contact forms);
  • priority resolution of issues impacting usability via keyboard and assistive technologies;
  • ongoing monitoring and periodic review, including following platform and content updates;
  • management of user reports, with handling and tracking procedures in place.

If you encounter accessibility issues or wish to report problems, you can contact us:

To help us respond quickly, please include (if possible):
